Maxnet CEO - John HannaJohn Hanna
Chief Executive Officer

John was appointed Maxnet CEO in 2009 bringing with him 30 years experience in sales, marketing and leadership in  IT companies. Previous executive level roles were held in both global and local companies.

 His passion for fiscal and operational outcomes is balanced by his drive to build the very best team possible. Gaining a clear understanding the competence and skill mix of individuals enables him to ensure that their support and development plans are linked and aligned with the growth strategy of the business.

John brings a great deal of positive energy and drive to Maxnet and constantly strives to make a difference to the team he is a part of and the teams he leads.


 

Wayne Voss - MarketingWayne Voss
Marketing & Product Manager

Wayne joined Maxnet in 2001 and managed the Maxnet Sales Team for 5 years. He has overseen rapid growth in company sales revenues, with Maxnet featuring twice in the Deloittes Fast50 company growth awards. In 2008 he shifted over to his current role to focus on driving ahead Maxnet's marketing initatives and product strategies.

Previous roles have included internet marketing, business development consultancy and journalism, as well as management of a family business. Education includes Diplomas in Business (majoring in marketing) and Journalism.


 

 

Derek GaethDerek Gaeth
Chief Technical Officer

Derek Gaeth joined Maxnet in 2004 as Network Manager. From a strong engineering and technical background, Derek began his career as a Microsoft and Novel engineer before moving to the ISP industry in 1998. At Maxnet he has led the continuing development of the network and data centre infrastructure.

In early 2008 Derek took on the role of Technical Manager with oversight of Network Operations, Data Centre and company software systems.


 

 

Chris Bothma - FinanceChris Bothma
Finance Manager

 Chris returned from working and living the UK in August 2006 to become Maxnet’s Finance Manager. Since joining Maxnet Chris has been committed to ensuring sustained financial performance and growth within the organisation.

Chris is an experienced financial manager who holds a degree in accounting.

Chris completed his training with Delloitte and Touche and has over the subsequent 14 years had various roles as a financial and management accountant in service and technology companies in South Africa, the UK and New Zealand.


 

Paul McGarriglePaul McGarrigle
Chief Operations Officer

Paul McGarrigle was promoted to the role of Maxnet COO in November 2009. His prior role in Maxnet was Customer Services Manager, a role held since January 2008, with 10 years previous experience with call centres in the UK and NZ.

Managing both in-house and outsourced environments, his experience includes supporting the setup of new contact centres through to the management of the High Value Call Centre at Vodafone.

Paul's focus is on delivering customer centric operational processes. 


 

Rob Severn - Sales DirectorRod Severn
Sales Director

Rod was appointed to the newly created role of Maxnet Sales Director in April 2010.

Rod brings with him more than 25 years of IT experience including 11 years with Sun Microsystems where he was country manager and later New South Wales state manager.

He has also held roles with Fuji Xexox, Computer Associates and Memorex Telex.
