FEATURES
Flexible
MBC WAN works with any type of connectivity allowing you to select the most appropriate connectivity service for each WAN location. See MBC Premium and MBC Lite products for more details.
Fast
Unlike traditional Virtual Private Network (VPN) services, the technology we use for our MBC WAN services does not have the same encryption overhead or renegotiation time, improving performance for end users.
Secure
All connections to your offices are across private connections, as opposed to across internet connections. You WAN can also be protected with a number of different firewall options.
Fully Managed
Maxnet MBC WAN can be provided as a fully managed service, down to the equipment provided on each site, with full hardware support. We can also configure QOS for services such as VOIP.
TECH SPECS

Maxnet’s MBC WAN service utilizes industry standard MPLS technology. MPLS works by attaching a label to the outside of the data packet. All forwarding decisions are made solely on this label and as each label is unique to each customer it is impossible for data that is not on a customer’s network to get onto it or conversely for data to escape from the network. MPLS works no matter what data service is connected to it, meaning you can mix and match technologies to best accommodate the specific requirements of your individual offices.
Simple
You don’t need an expensive router to harness the power of an MPLS network as there are no “smarts” required in the router at the end of each WAN connection.
Multiple POP sites
With Points of Presence (POP) sites in major centres around New Zealand, geographically diverse WAN's can be provided with local hand-offs and fully redundant sites.
Remote Access
We can integrate remote users and sites running IPSEC to expand the reach of your WAN. This allows overseas offices or roaming users to easily connect into your network.
Redundant Core
There is little point having a secure network if the central hub of the network cannot handle the traffic or is prone to failure. Our core is both fully redundant and has significant processing capabilities.
