Maxnet has one of the world's most highly respected fire prevention systems in operation in its Internet Data Centre (IDC).
VESDA
The VESDA system (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) provides multiple levels of alarm thresholds. This allows the earliest possible notification of a potential fire even before it starts.
The system constantly analyses air particles in order to detect any signs of smoke thus allowing increased time for evacuation and preventative action.
Three Stage Alarm System
The VESDA system has a three stage alarm system, directly connected to the local Albany fire station which is less than 1km from our facility. We also have gas suppressant fire extinguishers positioned around the walls in all key areas of the Data Centre, which is manned 24x7.
