Backup Tape/DVD Rotation Services
Maxnet provides a media rotation service for server environments hosted in our colocation facility.
For a nominal fee, we will rotate tapes or DVDs for your backup device on either a daily or weekly basis, depending on your preferred schedule.
What You Get
Basic Daily or Weekly Back-Up Device tape/DVD Media Rotation Service
- You supply the media (i.e. tape, DVD) and we exchange it each day (afternoons, Mon-Fri, excluding statutory holidays) or on a weekly basis in & out of the drive of your back-up device housed in your colocation cabinet.
- Your media is stored in a data safe on our premises (estimated 20 minutes fire rating for current day media). We allow for a maximum of 10 tapes or DVD's.
- If required, a cleaning tape supplied by yourself can be inserted once a week as part of the schedule we will follow.
- You are notified by phone/email of any issues with the back-up drive (i.e. if the device doesn't eject the tape).

Additional Services and Associated Fees
If you would like us to facilitate off-site couriering of your media, please be aware that an administration fee is charged.
- Admin fee for organising weekly couriering offsite - $5 per month additional fee.
- Admin fee for organising daily couriering offsite - $15 per month additional fee.
- Restoration of back-up data from media, as requested, during normal business hours - chargeable at $120 per hour.
All prices quoted exclude GST unless otherwise indicated.
