Some customers use our wholesale services as a stepping stone to build their customer base with minimum costs. Typically they start with virtual services and progress to our wholesale offering with a view to eventually building their own network.
Others however prefer to continue to utilise our carrier grade network and supporting infrastructure as the cost of replicating Maxnet's highly redundant network are significant. It is more cost effective for these organisations to lease Maxnet rack space for their own core servers, and to purchase wholesale access lines or ports and bandwidth from Maxnet.

What You Get
- Added redundancy and security of service through multi-homed bandwidth - we balance the load across three international upstream providers so that if one supplier has an outage, we have two other suppliers to provide continuity of service.
- Avoidance of any possible congestion on the network - we maintain excess bandwidth headroom over and above our customers maximum utilisation.
- Protection from voltage drops, spikes or frequency variations - our Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) isolate the load from the two AC mains supplies.
- Mains power redundancy - two separate transformers supply our data centre's power infrastructure. Both feeds are 3 phase.
- Protection from fire risk - we have Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus (VESDA) fire prevention systems in place with a three-stage alarm directly connected to the local fire station. The facility is manned 24x7.
