DNS Setup for Windows 2000
How to use DNS settings from the modem—windows 2000

When you turn on your windows 2000 machine you should see your desktop interface something similar like this.

Single left click mouse button on start button and you will see the start menu. On the start menu, hover mouse cursor on settings and you will see the sub-menu of it, single left click mouse button on Control Panel.

Once the control panel window opened, double left click mouse button on network and Dial-up Connection icon.

Right click on Local Area Connection and then choose property. Single left click on Internet Protocol(TCP/IP) to highlight it and then single left click on Properties button.

In the TCP/IP Properties’ pop up window, choose Obtain DNS server address automatically and then click on OK to save the settings and close the rest of the opened windows.
This instruction is based on assumption that you are a right handed person, if you are left handed person please changed the left click to right.
