Wait Listing the Unlimited Plans

As far as we know, there is no one else in the New Zealand market wait listing their unlimited plans. Generally you see an unlimited plan come into the market, and while it works really well for a short time period, it eventually gets overloaded and slows right down, giving an inconsistent service.
We are taking a different approach for a reason. We want to provide an unlimited service that works well all day, and all night.
The way we've decided to do this is simple, we allow users who want the unlimited service to join a wait list. When we've created enough room on the network for us to have them, we bring them on.
Sure, we don't get the upside of having thousands of new customers come to us straight away making us lots of money, but we protect the network for our customers and build a stronger relationship with our user base in the long term.
We've already spoken about our approach to torrenting, and this remains for our unlimited plan. Without that group of users taking up most of the bandwidth, it allows businesses and residential users to make the most of internet connected devices with a great unlimited service.
We've also already said we are going to be open, honest and transparent and periodically let you know the deep/dark secrets of our network that no other ISP would dear show. This keeps us accountable to not overload our network to make a quick buck.
