WAN Firewall Details
We offer two types of WAN Firewall: "Plus" & "Max."
Plus
The “Plus” offering is for MBC connections only (i.e. In instances where a colocated environment is not part of the customer’s WAN). This product handles Multi Private Networks, DMZs, can be used in conjunction with Maxnet’s MPLS technology. It can also handle HSRP on the Public Interfaces and offers HSRP on the MBC network as an option.
Examples of use of this product would be:
- Simple single site internet connection.
- Multi-site WAN, which is utilising Maxnet’s data centre as an aggregated internet gateway for some or all sites on the WAN.
Max
The “Max” offering offers all the attributes of the Lite and Plus offerings but can be also deployed on WANs that include the customer’s server environments hosted at the Maxnet Internet Data Centre.
Examples of use of this product would be:
- Simple single site connected to server equipment colocated at Maxnet’s Internet Data Centre, both requiring internet connectivity.
- Multi-site WAN connected to colocation server equipment which is utilising Maxnet’s data centre as an aggregated internet gateway for some or all sites on the WAN.
