Maxnet's SMTP Mail Filtering services enables you to run your own mail server behind an enterprise level mail filtering system.
SMTP Mail Filtering Outline
SMTP Mail Filtering uses Maxnet's Mail Cluster as the first line of defence for your mail server. Your mail is delivered first to our Maxnet Filter Cluster where it is scanned for viruses and SPAM by our filters and then forwarded to your mail server via SMTP.
What You Get
As well as "industrial strength" mail filtering you also receive the benefits of an enterprise level redundant mail system. (i.e. backup mail services).
If your server goes down, Maxnet's Mail Cluster will queue your mail until your server is back online. If Maxnet's Mail Cluster ever goes down, then our Backup Mail System (hosted in the USA) will queue your mail for you.
Set-Up
Set-up and configuration of this service is easy as no change is required to your mail server configuration. Only a small change to the primary MX record for your domain(s) is required. You can either do this yourself via our Member Centre's self-management interface (if your domain is hosted with Maxnet) or our technical support staff can easily assist you.
